Update on current progress!

It's been a while since I've given an update, but that's okay because we've gotten a lot done and still have more in the works!  I've been kept busy with 2 little boys running around.  Very hard for this Momma to get projects done.  But we had a productive week before Christmas when hubby's parents came to visit.  Let me take you on a tour!

The living room, painted and decorated so far

Looking into the dining room and den/school room

The hallway, painted yellow

The dining room, with new trim over the sliding glass door.  The new flooring has also all been installed.

The den/school room, still full of boxes to go through and unpack

The kitchen, painted purple.  I painted the island white and still have the cabinets on the right to paint.  I also applied the "wood" looking wallpaper to the countertops for a makeover!  They look much better!

Our new back door, installed and trimmed out.

Added a new mirror, light fixture, and paper towel holder over the utility sink.  Need to paint the sink and redo the countertop.

The new pegboard my mother-in-law helped me install during their visit.  Perfect place for most of my tools!

The laundry room - still a work in progress, but painted purple and home to all my cleaning supplies!

My desk, newly assembled yesterday!

Our master bath - pretty in purple!  Hung the mirrors myself.  Just have to redo the countertops and paint the cabinets.

Our new shed

New guest closet shelves

As you can see, we've been busy!  We had the back door installed, the baseboards installed (only a few places left that need it), paint has been put up in every room (minus the pantry/hall closet/hubby's office closet), the sliding glass door was trimmed out, mirrors and a pegboard were hung, I have upgraded to a new desk (I'd had my old one since my teen years!), and the kitchen counters got a makeover with waterproof wallpaper!  We also removed the wire shelves from the guest room closet (where our youngest sleeps) and put in a stand-alone shelving unit.  We also put up a shed in the back yard for our tools and yard equipment.

Our next project involves some yard work.  We had another tree fall while the in-laws were here and we've had a neighbor offer to help us cut it up and stack it.  Along with the other trees that were cut down because they were dead, we have a lot of wood on our lower lot to cut and clean up!

Our lower lot, home to lots of fallen tree branches and logs

Once we get it better handled, I plan to build our chicken coop out of the pallets you can see by our shed.  My dad is also going to build our back deck this spring, as well as a set of stairs down our back slope for easy access to the lower lot!  So lots to look forward to!
