Surveyor Update

 We have a tentative date for the surveyor to come out on June 16th.  We'll be having them sort out the boundary lines as well as staking out where the house will go and creating a site plan.  I'll be letting our excavator know a week in advance so he can see where he is with the jobs he has, and we should be able to get the land cleared shortly after! 

House Floor Plan & Updates

I wanted to show everyone the floor plan of our house, which I had to re-create since I couldn't find it online anywhere.  It's an older model (2000) so I'm not too surprised.     

We have found a surveyor who can help us in 3 weeks, which is faster than another company who said 8 weeks!  So the first week of June we will be getting the survey done and then our excavator can come in and clear the land and start working to get things level for the house!   

We are hoping to be in the house asap - August was my hope and if all goes well, it might actually happen!  But we are also prepared for delays, and we're grateful to have our apartment until our house is ready.  Our lease renews in November, so we have lots of time! 

Here's what's on our To Do List:

1. Survey the land
2. Clear the land
3. Level the land
4. Install septic
5. Install house
6. Bring electric, water, and internet to land
7. Paint/trim work/build decks/porches
8. New windows as we can
9. New sliding glass door and back door
10. Install gutters with leaf guard
    

The Lord's Blessings

 

The Lord has blessed us with a house of our own:  

A 32 x 80 double wide with 4 bed, 2 bath, huge kitchen, large laundry room, a den with a fireplace (our school room), dining room with sliding glass door like I wanted, living room, and a large master bath!  We've also purchased a 1.05 acre lot to put our house on!
