Yesterday hubby and I went out to the house to check on a few things. We found the vent pipe under the fireplace that apparently goes to the furnace. It needs to be run outside the skirting with a hood on it.
Then we worked on the inside. Hubby scraped off the old adhesive that stuck the tile to the counters and I nailed in the drywall nails that we get caught on when we round corners. I also super-glued the countertop chips back in place. Hopefully they stay so I can cover over them with the new material (waterproof wall paper that looks like wood). Our HVAC neighbor stopped by and told us what kind of vent we'll need for the furnace pipe. We also noticed a bunch of rips in the underbelly that need to be taped up.We're going to need to repair these rips! |
There are a bunch of rips in the kitchen drywall that will need to be repaired before we can hang the backsplash. Here is our kitchen backsplash (peel and stick wallpaper):
